Greater St. Albert Catholic appoints new superintendent

Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools Board of Trustees have appointed Dr. Clint Moroziuk as Superintendent of Schools for Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools, replacing David Keohane who was with the Division for 11 years and spent 37 in Catholic education. Moroziuk will take on the new role Aug. 1.

Moroziuk has more than 23 years of leadership experience in K-12 education and served as an Assistant Superintendent with the Division. He has a Doctorate of Education from the University of Calgary, a Master of Religious Education from Newman Theological College; a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta. Moroziuk is also a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).

“The Board is thrilled to have Dr. Moroziuk as our Division’s new Superintendent,” said Board Chair Joe Becigneul in a media release. “Our Board is excited Dr. Moroziuk will bring fresh ideas, a passion for Catholic education, and a genuine will to collaborate with stakeholders as we move into the future.”

Moroziuk said he is honoured to be able to serve Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools students, staff, and families as Superintendent.

“I am excited to begin to work with the Board of Trustees in continuing to move this excellent school jurisdiction forward,” he said.

Former Superintendent Keohane took on a position as executive director of the Alberta College of School Superintendents.
